A Message From Ms. Byrd:
As the Parent Coordinator I have been a dedicated and involved member of PS80 and the community for 30 years. I establish and maintain a welcoming environment for parents as well as the students. I help build a positive working relationship with the school community, Principal, PTA, Staff, Parents and Children. I ensure that we have a PTA and assist when needed. I develop and implement effective creative parent workshops, family events, and meetings that give parent strategies on how they can best support their child’s learning, which help their children receive a successful education, keep an open and clear communication within the school, the community and the classroom. I understand the importance of building this relationship, being the mother of two children.
